Cleaning Room By Room,Cleaning Tips
Cleaning an entire house is quite the challenge. Don’t know about you, but I find it hard to keep up with the weekly maintenance of my place, let alone tackle the tiresome annual cleaning. With spring almost here, however, it is time to roll up our sleeves and find the motivation to deep clean every corner.
Do you remember when you were younger and present giving was so easy? You could pretty much impress your friends and family with anything – a Popsicle frame barely glued together with your favourite picture of you and your best friend or a creative bookmark covered in fun snaps of everyone. No matter what, it always pulled those heartstrings. Things changed, didn’t they? More…
At some stage of our lives, most of us have all rented a property. Whether it’s been your own rental, or living with friends the mad rush of cleaning and tearing your hair out to get the place ‘perfect’ is all too familiar. For those bending the rules (and yes, there’s a few) you’ll find yourself hiding dog toys in the car and dropping your furry friend to the neighbours. And between trying to look like the gold-star tenant and playing detective removing all traces of additional housemates, the whole process can be extremely stressful. More…

Aren’t you lucky to be able to stay at home and tend to your children’s needs while being still in a position of contributing to the family budget? I feel this way, too. But it took me some time to truly appreciate the opportunity to work from home without compromising my idea of being a good mom at the same time. I had to fine tune my expectations in both endeavours, adjust goals, configure relationships with clients and reinvent the concept of time management to suit my family needs. As a result, I became more organised, fulfilled and happier. I manage now to complete whatever tasks I’ve set for myself for the day and still have free time to enjoy a half-an-hour chat with a friend, for instance.

Spooktober is here! Well, if I missed celebrating Halloween last year (stuck at home with 20-day old Jason), I am not going to skip on the fun this year. And keeping the kid in me happy won’t be my usual excuse for doing so. I’ve got a curious one-year old now, whose main job is to learn, explore and experience everything that is new to him. I am also lucky to have a bunch of close mommy friends with toddlers to join in the party. So, I thought that it would be a good idea if I shared out loud with you some tips and ideas on how to hold a Halloween party for toddling bubs who don’t end up spooked up, crying their eyes out amidst the ghost hunt game.

Travelling with kids comes with its own set of challenges. Camping around Australia is the perfect opportunity to indulge in freedom, fun and thrilling outback adventures. But throw children into the mix, and the experience can be overwhelming and exhausting too. Camping with kids brings in an entirely new set of requirements to consider. A camping rig with space becomes a priority, smart storage solutions are essential and implementing at-home creature comforts feels more practical for all.
Planning a children’s party is fun. Heck, planning a party at any age is fun! With endless themes to consider and cool, creative ideas to incorporate, the only limit is your imagination.
Inflatables have always been a big hit at children’s parties (adults love them too!) and bubble soccer ticks all the right boxes for hours of entertainment.
Bubble soccer is perfect for those kids who spend too much time in front of the TV and need a little push when it comes to outdoor fun. On the flip side, it’s fantastic for those youngsters that are loaded with energy.
Moving house. It’s a dreaded term for many of us. Even the most organised households can struggle with the emotional and physical stress that comes with it. Despite the research (and personal experiences) suggesting moving house is one of life’s most stressful events, not to mention how disruptive and chaotic it can be to our regular schedules, a well-planned move can actually be an exciting time. Shock horror! Yes, you read right… moving house doesn’t need to be the headache we know it can be. Instead, the change of atmosphere can encourage a fresh start, new adventures and an opportunity to declutter and redesign.

Just because winter is on its way, this doesn’t mean you need to stay inside to keep warm whilst entertaining. Creating a wintery living space is absolutely possible through well-lit and heated outdoor areas. We often think winter is the downtime season. And in many ways it is. A small amount of hibernation can be good – but don’t let those winter blues kill the fun.
Extend the summer season by crafting a backyard space you won’t want to leave during winter. Incorporating comfort, shelter and warmth will help to establish an area you can use anytime. Here’s how to get the most out of your space this winter:

I have always tried to live an environmentally conscious life and every year I do something special to celebrate Earth Day. Whether I take part in an organised event in Melbourne, go on a hike with friends or finish a long due design project at home by reusing some old materials, I just make sure that I mark the day in my own way.
Well, this year, it is my first Earth Day as a mum. And I feel a little bit restricted to just do anything I like to show my appreciation for Nature. Moreover, with rain forecast for tomorrow and for the week ahead, my choice of options seems rather limited. So, I have decided to bring Earth Day at home by drafting a list of the small things I could do to contribute to our environment.
Feel free to follow in my footsteps, you pretty Eco-minded mums!

They say home is where the heart is, so if that’s the case, shouldn’t we be putting as much investment into our personal space as we do to keep our hearts happy and healthy? Creating a home that makes you fall in love with it again and again, is one of the best ways to boost happiness in our lives. And it doesn’t need to cost a fortune either. Property upgrades, simple DIY projects and giving your space a little TLC all go a long way.
