For the longest time I felt like rinsing down the food leftovers and forgetting about their existence is like the most normal thing in the world. Not long after I saw why it actually shows a lack of responsibility. Firstly not all things can smoothly go down the drain and even if they do, not all are biodegradable. Some are causing nothing but pollution, while other are causing clogged drains! Follow the tips below and you’ll be fine. More…
I am not a great fan of cleaning, as most of you already know, but one chore I loathe in particular, and that would be cleaning the fridge. I mean, you have to take out all the food and then take the shelves, wash them up, put them back and rearrange all the food back. The shelves and the corners of the fridge are awkward to wash as well, and it seems that the typical fridge odor comes back sooner than expected. Well, here are a few tips that might help you – most of them I am sharing from experience!
As the name of this blog suggests, I hate cleaning, however I had to clean once I got married, so I discovered a few benefits of cleaning, I wasn’t aware of before. Since then, I started to like it a lot more. Without further adieu, here is what I found about cleaning during the first year of my marriage.
Stephen and I decided when we got married that we won’t have any pets until our children are a bit older. The reason for this is that we want to learn how to be a good spouses to each other, then learn how to be good parents. If we get a dog before we have a baby, I will feel like I am putting my child at a risk and I won’t feel at ease to give the pet away either. So why am I writing about cleaning pet messes? Funny story!
Did you know that the air at home is 200% more polluted than the air outside? And I thought we had a problem with the nasty emissions of the cars, while it turns out that the problem is hiding in our cleaning solutions. Because of the harsh chemicals in cleaning solutions, air fresheners, washing liquids and other seamlessly helpful detergents, we breathe poisonous vapours. Another research supports this finding! Stay-at-home wives were 54% more likely to develop cancer, compared to those who work outside. For this reason, I am suggesting you turn to green and natural solutions that won’t trigger allergies, asthma, cancer or other health problems.
We just had the busiest weekend of all! On the 26th of January we celebrated the Australian day during which we had friends over for a BBQ. Surprisingly enough we had some food and drinks left, therefore decided to get together same time same place the next day, in order to watch the Australian Open 2013’s Grand Finale. Believe me, I have never done so much cleaning in 48 hours as I did this weekend! Let me tell you all about it. More…
Have you ever wondered what is the dirtiest spot in your house? No, it is not the toilet. I know we often associate the toilet with everything that goes in it, but it is by far not the dirtiest places of all. My collection will surprise you, I can guarantee you that from the beginning.
How many of you have promised themselves to lose weight in 2013? How many of you want to be better housekeepers and want a cleaner and clutter free home in 2013? I wished for both and the best part is that both can be achieved in the same time. It turns out that domestic chores help you burn calories. You may try to run from cleaning, which will also burn some calories, but if you stick around you will find out how performing certain chores can help you achieve the desired figure.
One of the questions that bother many couples is whether a messy and a neat person can live together and what would it be like. We know that love knows no limits and you have to make compromise for the sake of keeping the harmony in your relationship, but is that really achievable? I believe so! More…
