Steven and I came back from rainy cold London (2-3 degrees) in order to find out that Australia is having a record-breaking heat wave followed by enormous bushfires! It was then that I realized how much of a negative effect this change in temperature will have on our bodies. Then, of course, I was thankful to God for air conditioners and I started thinking what are the other home improvements that could help you keep cool in times like this.
I know… Long time, no blog updates, but I have a perfectly good explanation for this. As most of you know Steven and I went to London for our New Year’s adventure and I can tell you straight away we had an amazing time! I have so much to tell you, that I don’t know where to start from. As usually, I will give you some tips and pointers to keep in mind if you are planning to visit London anytime soon. So here’s the story of two Aussies in London in winter!
Hi everyone,
Travelling is one of the best things you and your spouse can do together. Stephen and I have only been on road trips here in Australia, and it has been amazing. All the memories you share and the weird and wonderful experiences. For this reason we decided to change the scenery for New Year’s and go to London! When you are travelling with cabin luggage you totally need to bring your A game when it comes to packing. More…
Here in Australia it is already the 21st of December 2012! Stephen and I made a fun list of things you can do on 21st of December.
As most of you know, Stephen and I have planned this amazing trip to London for the holidays. We will be in the United Kingdom between the 26th of December and the 6th of January. Because we have never been abroad, and have never left the house unattended for so long, I started worrying that something may happen. I may have watched too much “Home Alone” when I was little, but I do believe a lot of things can go wrong during the holidays, so here is my collection of useful tips, for you to keep in mind, before leaving your place unattended.

Hi everyone!
I am back with a few tips on how you can transform your garage beyond recognition. We have a car, but we used our garage mostly as a dumping point for all sorts of crap (pardon my French!). We stored electric appliances, an old sofa and a wooden chest (I will let you know what we did with it later on). For this reason we decided that we had to do something about this mess! We didn’t mind parking our car outside and we used all our creativity to transform the garage into something more useful – a studio for the garage band of my husband.
Cleaning Tips,Confessions of a Happy Housewife
One of the questions that bother many couples is whether a messy and a neat person can live together and what would it be like. We know that love knows no limits and you have to make compromise for the sake of keeping the harmony in your relationship, but is that really achievable? I believe so! More…
Free entrance (yey!)
You will be happy to find out that there is plenty more you can see in London during the winter holidays without paying a fortune for admissions. Here is a list of London’s parks and open spaces (which I made!) where you can go for a walk (if the weather allows it).

Planning a New Year’s trip is always difficult because you have to co-ordinate it with other people, choose location, drinks, food, music and all the cleaning afterwards… Nah! Not this time! This New Year, Stephen and I decided that we wanted it to be just the two of us. It is our first New Year as a married couple and we picked a destination, we both wanted to visit for a long time. They say beginnings are always hard, which is why I was wondering for quite a while what should I write about. It was then that I remembered one of our first moments in our new home. It was when we painted it. More…
