I Hate Cleaning

Now I now what you’ll say. Wash your bathtub every week, instead of once every six years and you won’t get a filthy bath. I know, I know. But here is what really happened…

As some of you may know hard water gives bathtubs this yellowish/reddish streaks sometimes, not to mention hard water makes them even more difficult to clean. So, here I was cleaning my bathtub, when I decided I will pour some bleach and get it clean. When I came back an hour and a half later I was horrified to find out my bathtub now looks like a scene from a horror movie.

I went the same morning to just clean some light yellow streaks and I ended up with having a rusty red tub. After some research online I found the best ingredient and my best shot at getting rid of the streaks was to use some hydrogen peroxide.

If you can find it in a spray bottle that would be even better! If not, sprinkle, pour or rub, whatever you do just make sure you get it on all red streaks. Open the windows and make sure you ventilate the bathroom as chlorine gas is the by-product you don’t want to inhale.

Following the images you will see how the nasty rusty streaks get whiter and whiter 2 minutes and 10 minutes later.
